Gordy Barr saw the photo last month of the wheel Heidi Ladd found when the water went down in a storm this fall. He says it is not a ship wheel, but actually a wheel used on a boat lift to raise and lower the carriage supporting the boat.

Put-in-Bay Village is interested in looking into forming a “police district” with the Township.

Nothing lasts forever. Someone had trouble negotiating the sharp curve on St. Rte. 357 just east of the Monument and hit one of the two brick pillars at the entrance of Shore Villas one night in December. There is no word if the pillar will be rebuilt.

Island mystery author Bob Adamov was pleasantly surprised when he read in the Akron Beacon Journal that his novel Assateague Dark was among a number of books that were named as Best Northeast Ohio Books in 2020.
