“We are so excited to continue this great event at the National Park,” said Superintendent Barbara Fearon. “We are again collaborating with our partners to make this an event that is fun for the entire family.” The National Park will open the festival grounds at 11 am and the music will begin at noon.
Both the food booths and the Beverage Tent will open at 11 am. The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society will operate the festival’s Beverage Tent again this year with the bulk of the proceeds benefiting the historical society museum
The park encourages festival goers to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Limited seating will be provided but there are tables and chairs inside the Beverage Tent as well as surrounding the tent. “This is just perfect,” one local woman said. Mowry Foods sold festival goers Italian sausage sandwiches, fries, gyros, lemonade and ice cream during the festival. The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society sold beer, wine, soft drinks and water and provided festival volunteers and park staff with water and soft drinks during the event.
