Carol Cerny

We are proud to recognize Mrs. Carol Cerny for her incredible dedication and service to Put-in-Bay Schools over the past 27 years. Carol has worn many hats during her time here—teaching Spanish and computer classes to students in grades K through 12, serving as our ever-reliable tech coordinator, and being the go-to person for all things digital. She prepares all the awards for our school-wide Awards day ceremony. Her cuisine day is a hit with all staff and students as she and her students bring the world of foods to our school.

Carol is dynamic, dependable, and the kind of educator every school hopes to have. From ordering and maintaining devices for staff and students, to loading programs and ensuring our technology runs smoothly, she has been the quiet force behind so much of our success.
And if you’ve ever wondered who turns on the lights in the morning—it’s Carol. She’s consistently the first one to arrive, setting the tone for the day with her work ethic and positive attitude.
While she did retire at the end of the school year, we’re thrilled that Carol will continue to share her talents with us by returning to teach Spanish and some computer classes.

Carol, thank you for your outstanding contributions, your tireless dedication, and the lasting impact you’ve made on generations of students. You are truly one of a kind.
